In short
We don't collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, no cookies and no ads. Your images stay on your own device.
The Totem Forge app
- Your images, tags and texts are stored only on your phone, tablet or computer. The app doesn't upload them anywhere.
- The app talks to the Totem Forge base over its USB cable. On Android it asks for permission to use the base; in a browser it asks for access to MIDI devices, which is how it talks to the base. On iPhone and iPad it connects to the base without asking.
- The Android app has no internet access. The iPhone and iPad app from the App Store has everything built in and doesn't use the internet. The web app at totemforge.nl only loads its own files from our website and sends nothing back.
- Links in the app, for example to this website or to Etsy, open in Safari or your other default browser.
- When you choose a photo, your device's photo picker shares only that photo with the app; the app can't see the rest of your photos.
- Backups you export (.tfc files) go wherever you save or share them.
The totems and the base
They store no personal data. A totem only holds the picture you last put on it.
This website
- No analytics, no cookies, no tracking. The fonts are served from our own website.
- The website is hosted by GitHub Pages. To deliver the pages and keep them secure, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address (see the GitHub privacy statement).
- Links to Etsy, Google Play, the App Store, Discord and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Orders are handled by Etsy.
If you email us at info@totemforge.nl, we use your message and address only to answer you, and delete them when they're no longer needed.
Your rights
